About
The Boulanger Trio is a German piano trio named after the sisters Nadia and Lili Boulanger. It was founded in Hamburg in 2006 by the pianist Karla Haltwanger, the violinist Birgit Erz and the cellist Illona Kindt and has been based in Berlin since 2010. The trio is dedicated to the classical and contemporary repertoire and is internationally active with concerts and CD recordings.
Since 2012 the trio has been organizing a series of concerts and talks in Berlin, Hamburg and, since 2016, also in Vienna. The boulangerie program consists of pieces from the classical repertoire and works by a contemporary composer who will be present during the concert and talk to the three musicians about his work. The boulangerie takes place in Hamburg in the Elbphilharmonie, in the Wiener Musikverein and in Berlin in the Radialsystem and in the Konzerthaus.
