About
Boris Nebyla received his education at the Dance Conservatory of his hometown Bratislava, at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna and at the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera.
From 1993 to 2005 he was a member of the Ballet of the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper, where he has performed as a soloist since then, as well as at the National Theater in Bratislava. He has been soloist in "Swan Lake", "Raymonda", "Paquita", "Giselle", "La Sylphide", "La Fille mal gardée" and "Spartacus". Guest performances took him to Japan, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany and Ukraine. Together with Simona Noja, he founded the studio »dancearts« in 2006, and since 2009 he has been the director of the »Nebyla Dance Company«, choreographing Beyond, Solus, Seorsu and Crossing. Guest performances have taken him to Italy, Romania and Slovakia, and Nebyla's other choreographies include "Re: Composition" for the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera, ballet at the 2011 Opera Ball and "Prélude à l'après midi d'un Faune "at the Volksoper.
