Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space is an Austrian musical group formed in 2002.
In October 2002, several musicians - fans of category B films and related aesthetics united in a group with the shocking name Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space (BZFOS). To an untrained viewer, the concerts seemed absurd and kitsch, and music lovers still continue to argue which of the genres "Bloodsucking Zombies From Open Space" belongs to: psychobilly, horror-punk, gotabilly, or all taken together.
BZFOS members perform under the sinister pseudonyms Dead "Richy" Gein, Dr. "He-Mann" Schreck, The Reverend "Bloodbath" and Mr. "Jim" Evilize, positioning themselves as invaders who have arrived from the bloodthirsty planet Transylvania to drown the Earth in bloody rock and roll.
Fiend Force, Germany's most famous horror-punk label, was the first to draw attention to the group, releasing the song "Eaters of the Dead" as part of the compilation "This is Horrorpunk".
After that, a contract was signed with Fiend Force, which resulted in the debut album "See you at Disneyland ..." At the same time, the geography of concerts is expanding: in addition to Austria, BZFOS begin to perform in Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
The soon-to-be-released album Night At Grand Guignol received consistently good reviews and gave the band the opportunity to announce themselves to a wider audience. Participation in concerts and festivals, together with recognized masters of the genre Blitzkid and Rezurex, takes BZFOS to a new level.
The third album "Monster Mutant Boogie" and the EP "Killer Klowns From Outer Space", released in a limited edition of 666 copies, were also successful. The title track of the EP is a cover of the cult song The Dickies from the movie "Killer Clowns From Space". Another cover is a psychobilly-horror-punk version of the famous composition "Poison" by Alice Cooper.
