Biagio Pizzuti, born in Palermo in 1987, started his musical studies at the age of 8.
He graduated in vocal studies and is about to receive a degree in Piano at the “G. Martucci” Music Conservatory in Salerno.
Mr. Pizzuti studied with Aldo Ciccolini and Renato Bruson, and is now specializing under the guidance of Walter Alberti.
In Salerno, he sang at: the church of Santa Sophia; the Casino; the “G. Verdi” Theater; and the Teatro Augusteo.
He performed in: a concert at the Archeological Museum in Naples; Amalfi; Paestum (Salerno); and the Giffoni Film Festival. He was awarded in important international vocal competitions, he recently won the Magda Olivero International Coontest: He was part of Ensemble Opera Studio at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where he performed as Schaunard in La Bohème and Gregorio in Roméo et Juliette under Fabio Luisi (recorded by Decca).
Mr. Pizzuti sang Leporello in Don Giovanni and Madama Butterfly in Spoleto, Cléopatre at the Salzburg Festival, he then appeared as Betto di Signa in Gianni Schicchi under the baton of Rani Calderon at the Theater and der Wien and was then involved in another production of the same opera at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.
As a winner of the International Contest As.Li.Co in Italy, he performed L’Elisir d’Amore (Dulcamara) in the theaters of Brescia, Como, Cremona and Pavia.
Biagio Pizzuti recently sang Leporello in Don Giovanni in Maribor; La Pietra del Paragone at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; Masetto in Don Giovanni at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Il Viaggio a Reims at the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam; Guglielmo in Così Fan Tutte in Liverpool; Gianni Schicchi in Spoleto; L'Italiana in Algeri in Florence; Faure's Requiem at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and Belcore in L’Elisir d’Amore with Opera di Firenze in Florence (Palazzo Pitti).
