Arben Spahiu was born in Albania. He studied in Tirana and at the Musikhochschule in Vienna.
In 1986 he won the Bruckner Prize, one year later the Soloist Prize of the Vienna Music Academy. Since 1993 Arben Spahiu is the leading violinist of the Bavarian State Orchestra. He is also a founding member and first concertmaster of the 1998 founded Ambassade Orchestra Vienna.
