About
Born in Munich, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Erich Wonder. Since 1992, she has worked at the major European opera houses. For many years, she has been regularly designing stage sets for the productions of Andrea Breth and Martin Kušej, but also collaborates with other directors and conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Sir Simon Rattle.
In addition, she illustrated a number of books for various publishers; in 1988, her children appeared in the book "Katzenjammer and cat's luck."
Annette Murschetz lives in Vienna. In 1991 she was awarded the prize of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and art, 2003 the Hein-Heckroth-Bühnenbild-Förderpreis and 2013 the Nestroy-prize for the category "best equipment".
