Anja Fabricius was born in Flensburg and studied violoncello with Bernhard Gmelin in Hamburg.
During her studies in the Bavarian State Orchestra, she continued her studies with Wen-Sinn Yang at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. In 2008 she also studied chamber music with Andreas Reiner (Rosamunde Quartet). She received further musical impulses from Niklas Eppinger, Gert von Bülow and Wolfgang Boettcher. Since 2004 she is a member of the Bavarian State Orchestra.
