Angelo Zanardini (Venice, 9 April 1820 - Milan, 7 March 1893) was an Italian librettist and composer.
Venetian, in the spring of 1854 he had the opera Amleto, of which he had also written the libretto, represented at the Teatro San Benedetto, obtaining a favorable criticism.
Moving to Milan, he devoted himself mainly to writing and translating lyric booklets. Zanardini is the author of the Italian version of the texts of the 12 volumes of Melodie by Franz Schubert, and of a selection of melodies by Robert Schumann, which are part of the lyric library of Casa Ricordi; together with Giulio Ricordi he also translated the verses of the Twelve songs into two voices by Felix Mendelssohn, which are part of the same lyric library.
He chose the cremation; its ashes can be found at the Monumental Cemetery in Milan.
