First Flute of the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra and of the La Scala Philharmonic from 2015.

Andrea Manco studied at the "Tito Schipa" Conservatory of Lecce under the guidance of Luigi Bisanti, graduating at the age of 16 with the highest marks and honors.
He improved his skills at the Imola Academy with Persichilli, Mercelli and Cambursano, in Florence with Marasco and at the "Conservatoire Superieure de Musique" in Geneva with Jacques Zoon.
Considered one of the most brilliant flautists of his generation, won prizes in the major international flute competitions: "Francesco Cilea" by Palmi, "Leonardo De Lorenzo" by Viggiano, Yamaha Music Foundation in Milan, "Emanuele Krakamp" in Naples, "Pellegrini" of Cagliari, the XXXVIII Budapest International Competition and the First International Flute Competition "Maxence Larrieu" in Nice.
In 2002 Andrea Manco was chosen by Riccardo Muti as the first flute of the "Luigi Cherubini" Youth Orchestra, which he created. In 2003, at the age of 20, he obtained the position of first flute in the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio di Torino directed by Gianandrea Noseda. Has been invited by the orchestras as the first guest flute: Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Rome Opera, Stuttgart Philharmoniker, Hungarian National Philharmonic, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Symphonica Toscanini conducted by Lorin Maazel, touring Europe, USA, Japan, China and Israel.
Andrea Manco has also performed, as a soloist and chamber musician, concerts in numerous Italian and international festivals, such as MI.TO. , the Festival International de Musique de Sion-Valais, the Trasimeno Music Festival, Flautissimo in Rome, Falaut Festival, the Portogruaro Festival, the Ravello festival, the Karcag Flute Festivals (Hungary) and Belgrade, NFA 2011 in Charlotte ( USA), Floten festival Freiburg 2013. In 2009 he performed as a soloist with the Philharmonic of the Teatro Regio playing the Jolivet concert for flute and strings. He performed Mozart's Concerto in D major with the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra; with Baroccheggiando ensemble, which he founded, Vivaldi's concerts and Bach's suite in B minor. In January 2016 performed as soloist at the Teatro alla Scala with Olga Mazzia Mozart's concert for harp flute and orchestra with the "Virtuosi della Scala".
Andrea Manco participated in the "La giardino degli Allegori" Scaliger production interpreting the Mozart and "Progetto Handel" quartets interpreting the sonatas for flute and harpsichord. In May 2016 performed the first Italian performance of Lombardi's "Concerto in E" for flute and orchestra at the Teatro Regio in Turin under the direction of Fabio Luisi. In October 2017 he performed Vivaldi's Goldfinch at the Teatro alla Scala accompanied by the "Cameristi della Scala". In 2018 he was invited to the Lucerna Festival Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
Andrea Manco recorded the Sonata op.115 of Prokofiev for the CDs of the musical magazine Syrinx and a disc with works for flute and piano by Casella, Feld, Liebermann and Martinu, attached to the Italian flute magazine FaLaUt. He also recorded for Amadeus songs by Carulli and Giuliani in collaboration with guitarist Giulio Tampalini and for Warner Music with the octet of the Scala. Andrea Manco is a flute teacher at the "Incontri col Maestro" International Academy in Imola and the Teatro alla Scala Academy.
