Alexey LUNDIN is a graduate of the famous Gnessin College and the equally famous Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow where his teachers were Nadezhda Beshkina, Tatiana Gaidamovich, Alexander Bonduryansky, Mzia Iashvili and Rafael Davidyan.

In 1993, the trio of which he was a member was laureate of the Trapani chamber music competition in Italy, three years later of Weimar. In 1998 he founded with his partners the "Mozart Quartet" which in 2001 won the 1st Prize of the 6th International Shostakovich Quartet Competition. Since 1998, Alexey Lundin has been part of Vladimir Spivakov's orchestra "The Virtuosos of Moscow", of which he became first violin in 1999. On stage, his partners are Eliso Virsaladze, Mikhail Lidsky, Alexander Gindin, Manana Doijashvili, Andrey Korobeinikov, Alexey Utkin, Sergey Nakariakov, Julian Milkis, Evgeny Petrov, Lazar Berman, Zakhar Bron, Pierre Amoyal, Natalya Zagorinskaya ... Alexey Lundin pays particular attention to 20th and 21st century music, including works by Vladimir Krivtsov, Roman Lednev, Edison Denisov, David Krivitsky, Vladimir Tarnopolsky, Giya Kancheli, Vladimir Torchinsky, Karen Khachaturian, Alexander Tchaikovsky, Krzysztof Penderecki, Andreas Mustukis. Yuri Butzko has dedicated his fourth violin concerto to him. Alexey Lundin has been teaching since 2007 at the Moscow Conservatory. In 2010 he founded the International Festival of Classical Music of Salacgríva in Latvia, of which he is the artistic director. In 2011 he recorded an album Guerman Galynine (heir to Shostakovich and Miaskovsky) for the English label Frankenstein Records. Alexey Lundin is laureate of the Triumph Youth Prize, and honorary artist of the Russian Federation.
