Born in 1976, Alexandre Chabod began clarinet at age 7 with Jean-Claude Brion and obtained in 1996 a first clarinet prize at C.N.S.M. of Paris (class of Michel Arrignon) and a first prize unanimously of chamber music the following year (class of Maurice Bourgue). He perfected with Paul Meyer, Eric Lesage, Guy Dangain
Alexandre Chabod, laureate of Toulon international competitions, Paris UFAM (3rd prize) and Jean-Francaix (2nd prize), also follows a development cycle at C.N.S.M. of Paris in the wind quintet Zephyr, with which he won the 2nd prize in the international competition of Marseille in 2002. The same year, Marc Minkowski invites him to be part of the orchestra of the musicians of Louvre-Grenoble as than solo clarinet.
Composers Serge Kaufmann, Francine Aubin and Anthony Girard have dedicated many works to him (concertos, quintet with strings and parts for clarinet alone).
After being 3 years solo clarinet orchestras of the Republican Guard, he is currently clarinet 2 ° soloist in the National Orchestra of the Paris Opera.
