Harry Lazarevich Gelfgat studied at the Kharkov Secondary Special Music School. Since 1997, he has been a student at the Incontri col Maestro Piano Academy in Imola, Italy, under the guidance of Leonid Margarius. In 2008, he graduated from the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied with Dmitry Alekseev.

In 1996, Gelfgat won the Grand Prix at the Vladimir Krainev International Competition for Young Pianists in Ukraine. In 2001, he took first prizes at the Busoni International Piano Competition and the Cantu International Piano Competition, both held in Italy. At the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011, he received the IV Prize and was the inaugural recipient of the Vladimir Krainev special award.

Gelfgat has performed in numerous cities across Russia and Europe. He has shared the stage with renowned orchestras such as the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra under Valery Gergiev, the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Pletnev, and the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra led by Vladimir Fedoseyev. Additionally, he has performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Halle Orchestra, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, among others.

In recent years, Alexander Romanovsky has captivated audiences as a soloist. He has performed with the Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev at the Mariinsky Concert Hall in St. Petersburg and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra led by Christopher Warren-Green at the Barbican Center in London. He has also collaborated with the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Pletnev at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. Romanovsky made his debut with the English Chamber Orchestra and Paul Watkins, showcasing his talent in venues such as Wigmore Hall. His performances have graced the stages of Busoni Festivals in Italy, Como, Colmar in France, and East Newark in Scotland, as well as Palermo and Bologna. Additionally, he has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, and the National Philharmonic of Russia.

He has recorded four albums featuring works by Alexander Glazunov, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
