Studied at the Wimbledon School of Art. Collaboration with Katie Mitchell as set designer u.a. for "Idomeneo" (English National Theater), "Wunschkonzert" (Schauspielhaus Köln) and "Jungfruleken" (Kungsliga Dramatiska Teatern Stockholm).
Previous stage designs include: Ghosts (Arcola Theater London), The Suicide (Teatro della Contradizione in Milan), The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (The Wartime Palace Theater and Tour), The Crocodile (Arcola Theater London), Moll Flanders (KAOS Theater London), At Break of Day, Widows, RUR and Still Life (Drum Theater, Plymouth), The Country (Belgrade Theater at Warwick Arts Center ), Serious Money (Cambridge Arts Theater), Blood (Pleasance Edinburgh), Cocoa (Theater 503, London), Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Our Country's Good, West Side Story, The Wizard Of Oz, My Fair Lady, Grimm Tales, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Tractor Girls (National Tour) and The Walsingham Organ.
Alex Eales also designed the costumes for "Iron" (Traverse Theater in Edinburgh, Royal Court Downstairs in London, and Schauspielhaus Leipzig).
