Adam is a British bass-baritone from Dorset, and a recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Opera Course, and the Royal College of Music’s Master’s programme. Recent engagements include singing the title role in The Marriage of Figaro at Waterperry Opera, covering multiple roles in Welsh National Opera’s new opera Migrations by Will Todd, performing multiple roles in the Donmar Warehouse’s production of Henry V, and singing in the 2021 Glyndebourne Touring opera chorus, while also covering multiple roles in Fidelio and The Rake’s Progress. Adam was a finalist in the 2019 Kathleen Ferrier competition and recently made his English Touring Opera in the Learning and Participation production for Key Stage Two audiences, Tutankhamun’s Shoes and is looking forward to returning in Autumn 2023.

Adam Maxey is a British bass-baritone from Dorset, recognized for his dynamic presence in both operatic and theatrical performances. Throughout his career, Maxey has portrayed a variety of roles across esteemed platforms. Notably, he performed the title role in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Waterperry Opera Festival in 2022. His versatility was further showcased when he took on multiple roles in the Donmar Warehouse's production of "Henry V" in 2022. In 2021, he graced the stage as Don Bartolo in Rossini's "The Barber of Seville" with Clonter Opera. His commitment to contemporary works is evident from his participation in Welsh National Opera's new opera "Migrations" by Will Todd, where he covered multiple roles. Additionally, Maxey was a finalist in the 2019 Kathleen Ferrier competition, underscoring his vocal prowess. He has also collaborated with English Touring Opera, notably in the Learning and Participation production "Tutankhamun’s Shoes," and is slated to return in Autumn 2023. Maxey's early career includes performances such as Don Magnifico in Rossini's "La Cenerentola" with British Youth Opera in 2019, where his portrayal was praised for balancing the character's brutality and buffoonery. He also played Polyphemus in Handel's "Acis and Galatea" with Hurn Court Opera in 2018. In addition to his operatic endeavors, Maxey has demonstrated his acting skills in theatrical productions, notably performing multiple roles in the Donmar Warehouse's staging of "Henry V" in 2022. Adam Maxey continues to captivate audiences with his rich bass-baritone voice and compelling stage presence, contributing significantly to both classical and contemporary opera scenes.
