Overview

Yamamoto Tsuyoshi and the current members of the trio, bassist Kagawa Yufu and drummer Ohsumi Hisao, will make their debut on the Guangzhou Jazz Music Festival stage, recreating a god-level performance that cannot be missed!

Known as the "living fossil of Japanese jazz" and the "legendary jazz pianist", jazz pianist Yamamoto Tsuyoshi is famous in the music world for his extreme touch of melody and has become a Japanese jazz piano master in the minds of music fans. Whether it is the era of the famous albums "Midnight Sugar" and "Misty" or the latest recording works, Yamamoto Tsuyoshi's musical style has always had a magical appeal.

Opened in 1998, Xinghai Concert Hall is the biggest and most prestigious concert venue in Guangzhou, famed for its best architectural acoustics in China. The Hall is named after Xian Xinghai, a renowned Chinese composer, who was born in Guangzhou. The Hall consists of three parts, a symphony performing hall with 1500 seats, Chamber Music Hall and Music Material Room. The venue has hosted many world-class musicians and performing groups, including London Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Itzhak Perlman, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Lorin Maazel, Mischa Maisky, Yo-Yo Ma, Lang Lang and Yundi Li.
