Programme
Overview
Join baritone Will Liverman and pianist Myra Huang in an evocative recital that spans from tender lyricism to dramatic grandeur. Featuring works by Price, Poulenc, Loewe, Rachmaninov and Liverman’s own Four Private Parables, this programme explores myth, fate, faith and freedom through richly expressive song.Acclaimed for his rich, resonant voice and incisive musical insight, baritone Will Liverman teams with pianist Myra Huang for an evening of song that spans the full emotional spectrum. The programme opens with the gentle lyricism of Florence Price’s art songs and Francis Poulenc’s intimate mélodies before moving to the sweeping drama of Loewe’s romantic balladry and Rachmaninov’s impassioned settings. Interwoven in the recital are Liverman’s Four Private Parables, through which he explores themes of myth, fate, faith and freedom with vivid musical storytelling. Set within the warm intimacy of a recital hall, their performance weaves glowing piano textures and soaring vocal lines into a compelling journey of reflection and discovery.
