Bach favourite into a radiant concerto, joined by the Goldmund Quartet for an unforgettable lunchtime chamber music journey.Renowned for her kaleidoscopic tone, jaw-dropping technical command and expressive artistry, Matilda Lloyd presents a captivating lunchtime recital that transforms a beloved J.S. Bach work into a concerto for piccolo trumpet and strings. The program opens with vibrant song transcriptions, before the Goldmund Quartet brings warmth and charm to two works by Austrian composer Herbert Pixner. The performance culminates in the lyrical opening movement of Eric Ewazen’s Quintet, where Lloyd’s singing lines and the Quartet’s rich resonance intertwine in an intimate celebration of chamber music.
