Stifel Theatre

Stifel Theatre was home to the SLSO from 1934 until the orchestra moved to Powell Hall in 1968. The venue has hosted opera productions, Broadway shows, major touring concerts, and even presidential speeches. This season, the SLSO shows off the Stifel Theatre’s majestic interior with programs of epic scale and scope.

Stifel Theatre is a historic, 3,100 seat theatre in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Originally opened in 1934, Stifel Theatre's stage has welcomed some of entertainment’s greatest performers, including Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Following a $78.7 million restoration, this historical gem has been restored to its original splendor and undergone state-of-the-art upgrades.

Stifel Theatre plays host to a wide variety of events, including concerts, comedies, theatricals, family shows, holiday productions and more.

In addition to the fantastic main theatre, Stifel Theatre has a variety of spaces available for rent.
