Overview
Experience the wonderful Wairarapa on a half-day food tour where you will enjoy a locally guided tour to the best locations throughout the Wairarapa region with locally made cheese, chocolate and wine. Begin traveling over the Remutaka Ranges to the Wairarapa region, home of some world class culinary producers. The Wairarapa is an hour's drive north east of Wellington over the spectacular Remutaka Ranges. The drive includes a sightseeing stop at the 555m high Summit for amazing views. Your first foodie stop is on the other side of the mountain range at C'est Cheese factory and cafe where the tour will include a tasting platter of locally made cheeses. Continue up State Highway 2 to Greytown for some of chocolatier Murray Langham's amazing chocolate range at Schoc Chocolates.Next, in the world class wine region of Martinborough famous for it's pinot noir where you'll taste a flight at one of the finest local wineries. Finally, stop is at the Martinborough Memorial Square in the center of town where you can choose between a tasting stop of Olivo extra virgin and infused olive oils, Martinborough craft brewery paddles, a local vineyard, cafe lunch or the Martinborough Sweet Shop. The tour will return to Wellington via the Remutakas and State Highway 2 for an 3.00pm drop off.

This tour includes optional hotel pickup and drop off from selected centrally located Wellington hotels or the Cruise ship terminal. If you do not wish to receive pickup service, or are located outside central Wellington, you will meet at the Wellington i-SITE (111 Wakefield Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand). You will choose your pickup location at booking.
