Witness a marvelous and harmonious combination of art, architecture, and religion joining this early guided tour of the spectacular St. Peter’s Basilica’s Dome along with the world-famous St. Peter’s Basilica!Begin your tour climbing St. Peter's Dome, the tallest in the world. You will admire the views of the interiors of the Basilica from above. Gaze upon the incredible mosaics, the amazing Latin Scripts up close, and explore the roof of the basilica. Then, continue your ascent up 320 steps to the very top of the dome, where you will get to admire the view from the highest place within the Vatican. Experience the awe-inspiring panoramic view of the Vatican City and Ancient Rome in the first rays of the early morning light. After having admired this splendid panoramic view, you will descend to the Basilica floors avoiding the long lines outside. Listen to your guide's thorough explanations, be enchanted by the baroque masterpieces designed by Bernini and Bramante, and admire breathtaking artworks like Michelangelo’s Pietà sculpture. Lastly, make your way down to the Vatican grottoes where you will see the tombs of over 90 Popes, a few monarchs, and other church dignitaries, dating back to the 10th century.
