Overview
On this 3-hour skip-the-line tour your expert guide will take you inside the majestic Colosseum, telling you about its history and the events held there in the days of ancient Rome. Despite damaged by fires, earthquakes and looting, this huge structure has survived the centuries and is still the most impressive monument of the Roman era.After your visit to the Colosseum, you'll continue on to the site of the Roman Forum, which for centuries was the center of Roman public life. The Forum saw triumphal processions and elections, public speeches, criminal trials and gladiatorial matches and was the nucleus of commercial affairs.Your guide will take you on a walk up the Palatine Hill, standing 40 meters above the Roman Forum. You’ll look down on the Forum on one side and on the Circus Maximus on the other side. This hill is the centermost of the famous "7 Hills of Rome" and is one of the most ancient sites in the city.
