Overview
If you can tear yourself away from Phuket's beautiful beaches, you'll discover another side to the island. This small group tour takes in the Sino-Portuguese style architecture of the old town, the famous Big Buddha statue, Wat Chalong temple and a taste of locally produced rum at the Chalong Bay distillery. It all kicks off with a guided walk along the famous Thalong Road – the historic heart of Old Phuket. Wandering by colourful colonial buildings and elaborate facades, you'll see a beautiful blend of east meets west in the of Sino-Portuguese style architecture that's found nowhere else in Thailand.At Nakkerd Hill, you'll visit the impressive Big Buddha statue for wow-factor views over southern Phuket before heading to the island's most revered monastery and temple at Wat Chalong. Finally, we round off with a tour and tasting session at a local distillery – producer of the award-winning Chalong Bay rum.
