Overview
Your private guide will pick you at 1.30 pm and cross La Brie famous French countryside before reaching the castle of Fontainebleau, located only 45 minutes from Paris. You will discover a unique jewel of French heritage that has been home to sovereigns for over a thousand years. By way of comparison, the castle of Versailles was only inhabited for 100 years by 3 different kings: Louis XIV, Louis XV, and Louis XVI. The Chateau de Fontainebleau has notably welcomed François I, Charles V, Henri IV, Louis XIV, Napoleon, and many others!You will start your visit in crossing the gate of honour to access the white horse courtyard with its famous horseshoe staircase built-in 1634 which drive you to the State and Private Apartments and Galleries of which the most famous: Francois I gallery. All the rooms are lavishly furnished with furniture of the Renaissance and Napoleon period and recently renovated. The Throne room is unique in France.
