Overview
During this private full-day excursion from Paris, you will discover the villages of two of the most emblematic painters: Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh. The first stop of your excursion will take place in the charming village of Giverny, famous for housing the house and garden where Claude Monet lived and painted his most beautiful canvases! Once you arrive at Monet's home, you will visit his pretty pale pink house with green shutters and his studio whose walls are covered with reproductions of Monet's paintings as they were in his lifetime. You will then marvel at the flower festival that surrounds the house. Other surprises await you, including the water lily pond and the famous Japanese bridge. Then, your excursion will continue to the village of Auvers-sur-Oise where Vincent Van Gogh spent the last weeks of his life. In this small French town, the artist created some of his most exceptional masterpieces such as: Crows Over Wheatfield and Church at Auvers. You will then visit the Doctor Gachet 's house who hosted some of the great impressionist masters, including Cézanne, Pissarro and Guillaumin, and later Van Gogh. As you walk around this house, you will notice many remarkably preserved objects from the period. You can see the vermilion table immortalized by Van Gogh in his portraits of Doctor Gachet.
