Overview
Discover the picturesque villages of Vezelay, Noyers sur Sereins and Fontenay with this day trip from Paris.
Our driver will pick you up early at your hotel to drive you to the Gare de Lyon and board for the TGV (high speed train) scheduled at 6:49. An hour to relax on the train and you have already arrived. Get to know your local friendly guide who will introduce you to the treasures of the region. Our goal is really that you can experience the "French way of life". The train journey lasts 1-hour.
After 1-hour trip by train, you'll arrive in Vezelay, a major site of Christendom and a charming hilltop village. The climb to the basilica is almost a rite of passage. Over the centuries many artists and writers have found inspiration here. Spiritual, literary or poetic – the essence of Romanesque art prevails. (2 hours)
After a visit of Vezelay, you'll head to Noyers sur Sereins, a charming medieval village. You'll lunch in a restaurant and walk around by yourself. (2 hours)
You'll then head to the Abbaye de Fontenay, a well-conserved Cistercian abbey of the 12th century. (2 hours)
