Overview
During this private day trip from Paris, you will discover two of the most emblematic sites of Paris: Giverny and Versailles. Explore the Palace of Versailles, one of the largest castles in the world and a World Heritage Site. You will have the opportunity to discover the spectacular architecture of this royal jewel and its splendid rooms such as the King's and Queen's apartments. You will be dazzled by the design of the Galerie des Glaces with its three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors, its marble and bronze decorations, and its gilded bronze sculptures. Finally, the visit will conclude with a walk in the gardens designed by André Le Nôtre as requested by Louis XIV. After a lunch break, the rest of the day will continue in Giverny, the tiny village that was once home to impressionist mastermind Claude Monet. Besides getting to Monet's personal home and atelier, you can walk all through the wonderful gardens where you will admire the famous "Japanese bridge" with its wisterias, azaleas, and its pond.
