Overview
Enjoy this full-day tour of the city of Reims and its region with an expert guide. Visit the majestic 13th century Reims Cathedral, Mumm House (or similar), and a vineyard of local winemakers. Delicious champagne tastings will accompany each of these visits.Your excursion will start with a guided tour of the famous cellar of the Mumm Champagne House (or similar), created in 1827. You will discover their know-how and the secrets behind the creation of their 25 million bottles of champagne. And you'll taste the excellent "Cordon Rouge" champagne, a product of the House of Mumm.Your guide will take you to the magnificent Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral where the coronations of the Kings took place. You will continue your day with free time for lunch in Reims, a great opportunity to taste the specialties of the region and to explore the city center of Reims at your own pace.
After lunch, you will go to Mutigny for an experience in the heart of the region's vineyards. A local guide will welcome you and take you through the vineyards where he will explain the work of the wine harvest. Enjoy a first tasting of Champagne with a splendid view of the vineyards! You will learn the steps of the winemaking process and see a demonstration of the famous champagne sabrage.You'll leave Mutigny around 4.00 pm and be back in Paris around 6.30 pm.
