Overview
During this private day trip from Paris, you will discover the magnificence of Versailles in the company of your guide who will pick you up directly at your hotel in Paris. You will be dazzled by the sumptuous "Château de Versailles", one of the most beautiful achievements of French art in the 17th century. You will venture into the Palace and discover its spectacular architecture, and its splendid rooms such as the King's and Queen's apartments, the numerous salons with their stories and the breathtaking design of the Hall of Mirrors to impress visitors with its three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors, marble and bronze decorations, and gilded bronze sculptures. After visiting the interior of the palace, the visit will continue to the gardens of Versailles created by André Le Nôtre at the request of Louis XIV. The creation of the gardens required a gigantic work of about forty years! Each summer, Versailles offers superb entertainment in the gardens to give visitors the experience of the magnificence of the celebrations in the garden at the time of Louis XIV. Your guide will offer you a visit to the musical gardens (Tuesday from June to October) and the musical fountains show (Saturdays and Sundays from April to October). After being amazed by this fantastic place, you will have a gourmet break (at your own expense) wherever you want in Versailles.Then, you will enjoy the afternoon to discover the Grand Trianon, surrounded by formal gardens whose countless flowers and groves help to create a relaxing atmosphere. Afterward, you will visit the Petit Trianon where you will be immersed in the daily life of Marie-Antoinette, in a small village "like in the country" with houses made either for simple entertainment such as the billiard room or for a real agricultural function such as the dairies or the farm.
