Overview
You will be picked up from the hotel or the center at 7.30 am and head to three of Sri Lanka's top attractions! You will start your visit with the splendid Hakgala Botanical Gardens situated in a picturesque setting in a short distance from the town of Nuwara Eliya. During your visit, you will encounter a remarkable selection of thousands of flora species. Originally used for the cultivation of cinchona and tea, the Hakgala Botanical Gardens is the second largest garden among the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. Then, you will head to Seetha Amman Temple, one of the most important Ramayana-related places in Sri Lanka, located in the hills of Nuwara Eliya. This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by Devil King Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. Finally, you will proceed to the lush green Victoria park that was formally named in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. This place is famous among bird lovers too as a large number of birds can be observed. You will have a picnic lunch in this serene atmosphere and proceed back to the hotel at about 4.00 pm.
