Overview
The Everglades area is home to a varied ecosystem with the largest mangrove forest in North America. The Everglades lakes are surrounded by mangroves, which are refuges and nursery grounds for herons, egrets, stilts, ducks, wood storks, spoonbills, alligators, otters, and little fish. The Everglades National Park Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Eco-Tour takes you inside the mangrove ecosystem in a stable "sit-on-top" kayak.
