Experience the feeling of driving across a frozen sea by car! In Luleå you can reach islands such as Hindersön, Junkön, Sandön and Storbrändön by car during winter. Each year the municipality prepares about 30km of roads and checks the strength of the ice thoroughly and carefully through test drilling. This ensures risk free driving on ploughed ice roads for both residents and visitors.On this tour you will be joining an experienced guide on a comfortable sightseeing trip to the Luleå archipelago. There are several roads to choose from and a few stops are scheduled so you can walk on the ice, take pictures and experience the tranquillity of the endless fields of ice and snow. During the tour your guide will also tell you about the unique local nature and history.This tour is dependant on weather and ice conditions. If ice roads are closed by the municipality, or if the weather doesn't allow your guide to provide a high quality tour, the supplier reserves the right to reschedule the tour to another day or cancel the tour and refund your payment.
