Overview
The first stop of the tour will be at a wholesale fruit market, which houses the most priced treasures of the coast, highlands, and jungle. Enjoy delicious and refreshing fruit juices before you reach the historic downtown of Lima. Visit the Main Square, the Presidential Palace, and other monumental buildings in the surroundings that are still being used. Also, you will visit the cathedral, Peru's main church built between 1542 and 162. Then, you will go to the Cordano tavern, where you will taste the famous pan con jamón (Peruvian ham sandwich), and you will then go to the Aliaga House, an ancient viceregal construction delivered by Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains (Jerónimo de Aliaga) when he founded the city.
