You'll marvel and learn with a guided tour in the heart of Lecce whilst tasting local food such as Puccia, Rustico, Pezzetti di Cavallo pasticciotto, cotognata accompanied by coffee plus local wine or beer.Starting from meeting your guide at Piazza del Duomo, you'll start the journey covering Libertini street and a stop at the “pucceria”. Learn what a Puccia is and taste its marinated vegetable, cheese, ham, and mozzarella stuffing. After, you'll walk along the rococo-style street (called Palmieri) with its civic buildings. When you arrive at Saint Oronzo square, it's Rustico tasting time with mozzarella, béchamel, tomato, and pepper stuffed into vol au vent of flaky pastry. Then, it's the unmissable “Pezzetti di Cavallo” which is an Italian delicacy of tender horse meat cooked in a local tomato sauce. Not forgetting, a full glass of strong local red wine to wash and merge the flavors.
