Overview
If you'd like to visit the Buddist capital of Vietnam, then look no further. Take a short ride out of Halong City to Yen Tu and discover the majestic Yen Tu Mountain, sacred to millions of Buddhists who make a pilgrimage to its lofty peak.Start with a pickup from your hotel, you will be driven to Yen Tu Mountain, which is surrounded by pagodas, shrines, towers, and forests in northeastern Vietnam. Take the cable car to visit Hoa Yen Pagoda where you can see two 700-year-old frangipani trees. Then climb the steps to reach Dong Pagoda, situated at the mountain’s peak. Once you get to the summit, enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Northern Vietnam, followed by a vegetarian lunch at a local restaurant nearby.
