Overview
Enjoy a gorgeous full-day shore excursion of the amazing and enchanting Halong Bay! You'll first visit the Bai Tho Mountain where you'll get magnificent panoramic views where glistening waters meet the endless sky with amazing islands, scattered across the Ha Long Bay. At the base of the mountain lies Long Tien Pagoda, the largest pagoda in Ha Long City. This place of worship was built to honor the Buddha, with magical altars that are dedicated to the warriors of the Tran Dynasty and to the Holy Mother of Three Palaces. Next, you will also visit the Temple of Tran Quoc Nghien, which is situated at an elevation at the foot of Bai Tho Mountain, in the area of Ben Doan - Hon Gai, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, looking to the sea. The temple is dedicated to Tran Quoc Nghien, one of Tran Hung Dao's sons, a brave and talented general in the resistance against the Yuan-Mongol invaders. Next up on the agenda, is a visit to Hon Gai Church, built at the beginning of the 20th century. Located on a high hill, it overlooks the whole city of Ha Long. In 1972, it was destroyed by the war, but in 1998, was spaciously re-built and is now the largest church in Quang Ninh Province. You'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before returning to port.
