Overview
This tour will allow you to visit some of the top highlights in Lesotho in just three days. On day one, you´ll start your journey from Underberg in a guided four-wheel-drive vehicle travelling via Sani Pass with a refreshment stop for tea at Sani Mountain Lodge. Next on your list will be a stop in Skeering Village, which is a local Basotho Village. Here you´ll have some time to interact with the local family and hear exciting stories of the Basotho Folk. Travelling along the Roof of Africa, you´ll stop in Oxbow Lodge for lunch. After lunch, you´ll travel to see Dinosaur Footprints on route to Liphofung, where the fascinating Bushman Paintings at the Rock Art and Interpretation Centre are. The day will end with an overnight stay at Bird Haven Lodge, including dinner. Day two will start with a savoury breakfast before departing the Bird Haven Lodge to visit the Krom Caves - a unique cave-dwelling used as a hideout for Basotho people wanting to escape the cannibals during a severe famine. You´ll get to see the busy and vibrant city of Maseru, as you´ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant. The day will come to an end at Semonkong Lodge, where it will be time overnight. Day three begins with the enjoyment of early morning breakfast ahead of choosing to take the 4X4 vehicle or prefer a hike to the Maletsunyane Falls, a 192-metre-high waterfall close to the Lodge. After this phenomenal vision, you leave the highlands of Lesotho via transit routes that arrive in South Africa at Qachan Nek. Before returning to Underberg, you will stop to enjoy lunch in the town of Matatelie. Now is an excellent time to share memories with other travellers as well as friends.
