Overview
To start the tour, you will be picked up to go to the Humayun’s Tomb, an architectural masterpiece from the early Mughal era. Together with your guide, you will learn a lot of historical anecdotes and tales. The story says that it was built by Humayun’s wife as a tribute to him and later influenced Shah Jahan to build the Taj Mahal similarly. After visiting Humayun’s Tomb, the mausoleum of a legendary Sufi saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah. Every week, thousands of pilgrims visit the site to pay homage to the saint. Around the complex, there are also the tombs of the Mughal princess Jehan Ara Begum, Emperor Shah Jahan’s daughter, and Hazrat Amir Khusro, who is one of the greatest poets in Persian and Urdu. Finally, you will have dinner at a local restaurant and will be dropped off back at your hotel.
