Programme
Overview
Enter a new dimension of music with the Britten Theatre’s 360 d&b Soundscape system. Pioneering works by Xenakis, Stockhausen and world premieres by RCM composers unfold around you in rich spatial detail. Modern sound redefined.Discover an innovative live music event at the Britten Theatre, where the 360 d&b Soundscape system enables modern compositions to be presented in an immersive sound environment. Featuring works by Xenakis and Stockhausen alongside world premieres by RCM composers written expressly for spatial audio, the concert envelops listeners as sound moves above, around and behind each seat. Every musical gesture unfolds in three-dimensional space, offering detail and dimensionality that traditional staging cannot capture. Please note: 'First Body' includes references to the events of 7 October 2023—publicly available WhatsApp messages from that day, excerpts from Nazi propaganda and references to the Holocaust. Some audience members may find this material distressing.
