About

The Georgian born pianist Nino Gurevich has established herself as a prestigious soloist and highly regarded chamber musician through numerous international concerts.

She gave a number of performances at the "International Telavi Music Festival" (Georgia), at the "International Oleg Kagan Festival"  in Kreuth (Germany), at the international  "Ruhr Piano Festival" in Dortmund (Germany), at the "Piano Summer Festival" in Vranje (Serbia), at the Chopin Festival "Šopenijada" in Belgrade (Serbia) and at many other festivals. She worked with many orchestras and distinguished conductors. Among them was  the performance with the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra under the button of Arnold Katz. She has made multiple recordings for Georgian Radio and Television.

Already as a young girl, Nino participated in international and national competitions and has gained numerous awards and prizes for her extraordinary skills. Including Georgian national Piano Competition, First Tbilisi International Piano Competition where she also won the Special Prize by the German Embassy, International Balys Dvarionas Competition in Vilnius (Lithuania), the first International Chopin Piano Competition for young pianists in Moscow (Russia). For her outstanding performances she was awarded a scholarship of the international "New Names" programme for exeptionally gifted young musicians and a scholarship of the International Vladimir Spivakov Foundation.

Nino was born into a family of musicians. At the age of six, she was accepted at the “Z. Paliashvili” Central Music School for exeptionally gifted children and began her studies with Professor Edisher Russishvili, with whom she stayed throughout her time at the school and later at the TbilissiState Conservatory. After graduating with honours Nino Gurevich went to Munich, Germany, to complete her pianistic education at the Munich’s “Hochschule für Musik und Theater” under the guidance of professor Elisso Wirssaladze. She was the winner of the “Musikhochschule München” Concerto Competition and graduated with special honours. Afterwards also with special honours Nino completed Meisterklasse für Liedgestalltung with professor Helmut Deutsch.

Nino Gurevich enjoys regular concert activity as a soloist as well as a chamber musician throughout Europe And Asia.
