After a full course at the CNR Rouen, Mélanie Flahaut continues her studies of recorder in Paris with Pierre Hamon and Sébastien Marq. She obtained a first prize from the city of Paris in 2001 and also holds the Diploma of Early Music in Bassoon Baroque (CNR of Paris).
She then decided to improve with Jérémie Papasergio and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Claude Wassmer's classes for bassoon and doulciane (diploma in May 2005) and Conrad Steinmann for recorder (diploma in June). 2007).
Mélanie Flahaut plays regularly with the Spitituel Concert (Hervé Niquet), the Harmonic Poem (Vincent Dumestre), the Fenice (Jean Tubery), the Rhenish Chapel (Benoit Haller), the Lunaisiens (Arnaud Marzorati and Jean François Novelli), the Folies Françoises (Patrick Cohen Akhenin), the New Characters (Sebastien d'Hérin), the Musicians of Paradise and the Ornamento.
