Under Frederick Waxman’s direction, FIGURE and award-winning mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean bring Johann Sebastian Bach’s deeply introspective cantata Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut to life with historical rigor and expressive depth. Three world premieres by Alex Paxton, Lara Agar and Oliver Leith, commissioned by FIGURE, unfold new sonic dialogues that echo the cantata’s emotional journey.
