About
JENDRIK SPRINGER was born in Göttingen and studied piano and conducting. During his studies he began to build up his extensive repertoire as a Lied pianist.
Today, he works primarily in two fields: On one hand, he is invited by renowned conductors (e.g. Christian Thielemann, Sir Simon Rattle, Kirill Petrenko, Fabio Luisi, Franz Welser-Möst) to assist in the opera rehearsals especially for Wagner-Strauss-Repertoire. On the other hand, he is internationally highly in demand as a chamber music pianist and Lied accompanist. He can be regularly heard on stage with Ricarda Merbeth, Krassimira Stoyanova, Vesselina Kasarova, Marlis Petersen, Klaus Florian Vogt, Janina Baechle and Adrian Eröd. Performances have led him, among others, to the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Musikverein, the Tonhalle in Zurich, Carnegie Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London.
