O Grove
O Grove is a municipality of the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia, a small peninsula situated in the mouth of the Arousa estuary. O Grove faces the Atlantic Ocean and the shores of O Salnés valley, enclosed by the Rías Baixas.
Most of the population of this village lives from the farming of mussels, oysters, and scallops, a reason why trying the local gastronomy is a must. Due to the importance of the fishing economy, during the month of October O Grove hosts the festival which extols the virtues of shellfish, which was declared a National Tourist Interest. The village offers also many touristic spots such as San Vicente do Mar and Pedras Negras, where many beaches are located as well as a promenade characterized by local bars and restaurants.
