The orchestra will be led for the concert in Musikhuset by Sir Antonio Pappano, who will take up the position of chief conductor in September 2024. The evening's program consists of Samuel Barber's Adagio, Vaughan Williams' 5th Symphony and Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major with the French star pianist Bertrand Chamayou at the grand piano.

The surroundings are designed by landscape architect Sven Hansen. In front of the main glass foyer is the Concert Hall Park (Musikhusparken), a sculpture and parterre garden of boxwood with flowers, fountains and small seclusive corners with benches. A recreational lawn connects the park area with the City Hall Park. Between the concert halls and the adjacent ARoS art museum is a cobblestone amphitheatre hosting outdoor events and gatherings throughout the year.

The Concert Hall of Aarhus opened in 1982 and is designed by local architecture firm Kjær & Richter. 

In 2007, The Concert Hall was extended with three new halls as well as new teaching and practice facilities. The extension was designed by local architecture firm C.F. Møller. 

Today, The Concert Hall has six stages, nine concert halls, 500 rooms and an area of 35,000 m2.
