Besakih is the largest temple complex, the most important and the holiest temple for the Hindu religion in Bali. After that you will make a stop at Gianyar market. In the morning this is a market where the residents buy their groceries and by the night it transforms into a night bazaar providing the most amazing local food. Next you will continue to Penglipuran, a traditional village that preserves its traditional Balinese architecture up until today. Next, you will enjoy your set menu lunch at a local house in the heart of the village, where you may experience a real authentic culinary adventure at a local Balinese house. Onward awaits the Besakih Temple the highlight of the day. At the end of the day before transferring you back to your hotel you will make a stop at Sidemen village, the best producer of Arak: Balinese traditional liquor. Arak can contain 40% – 50% alcohol and it is not just a drink for the villagers, it has become a cultural legacy.
