Overview
The beauty of Bali won’t go amiss in this tour. You have the opportunity to visit the Goa Lawah (Bat Cave Temple). This cave gets its name from the thousands of bats that occupy it, making the walls vibrate when they fly. It is a holy place, said to lead all the way to Besakih, with a temple and surrounding shrines that protect its entrance. A truly spectacular sight. The tour continues on to Kusamba, a small village where you can see with your own eyes how the traditional salt mining process is still carried out today. After a stop for some lunch, you will make your way to the beautiful water palace Taman Tirta Gangga. The original palace built in 1948 was damaged when the eruption of Gunung Agung occurred in 1963. The palace consists of several swimming pools and ornamental ponds, where you can have fun hopping over stepping stones, which serve as a fascinating reminder of the old days of the Balinese rajahs.
