Overview
First, you’ll explore the historic center, the largest and best-preserved in South America, you'll explore the area in a replica of the trams that circulated in Quito in the first half of the 20th century.Next, you'll visit the Basilica Church of the National Vote, where you'll make a brief stop to hear the history of its facade. Then, your guide will take you to the Panecillo viewpoint, an emblematic place of the city where you can admire the beautiful landscape of colonial and modern Quito.Later, you’ll visit Plaza de San Francisco, one of the most representative places of the city from where you’ll walk to Plaza Grande, the historical and political center of the city that is surrounded by innumerable attractions that include the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace and the Church of the Company.Lastly, you’ll head to the neighborhood of La Ronda, where you can find workshops of Ecuadorian producers from different cultures of the country that will show you how crafts keep the cultural traditions of this charming city alive. In this emblematic street, you can also visit a traditional ice cream shop where you can taste the local flavors of Ecuador and craft workshops of Panama hats and products made with honey.
