Overview
Discover 3 cities that tell important events of Panama's history through 3 different centuries.First, travel back to the 16th-century visiting Portobelo, learn about this place's wealth, historical importance and relevant geographic position by visiting its museums, churches and forts.Then, you'll visit the new locks of the Panama Canal (Aguas Claras) a 21st-century masterpiece, where you'll witness mega-ships with capacities of over 15,000 containers transit from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean.Finally, you'll take a ride on a 150 years old train, on the railroad financed and built by the United States of America. Dating from the 19th-century, the construction was the first transcontinental Railroad in the region. The train takes you from Colon to Panama City and provides an outstanding experience of the Canal landscapes, lakes, rivers, flora and fauna.
