Overview
Visit 'Half of the World City', home to the one-of-a-kind monument that divides the northern hemisphere from the southern hemisphere of the planet. This monument was built in the 17th century by a French scientific expedition that defined the exact position of the equator that divides the world.The museum is dedicated to interactive exhibits and the history of the monument and the equator. You can also enjoy the unique views from the top of the monument.There is plenty to do once inside the city besides visiting the monument and the museum, there are a number of exhibits, restaurants, a small market with souvenirs, and a place to get your passport stamped with souvenir stamps to remember this experience full of learning.
