Overview
Come along to Australia's largest national park and UNESCO site, Kakadu and admire it from the sky with a scenic flight! Then have fun cruising along the Yellow Water billabong and visit the Warradjan Cultural Center. The flight route varies on the time of year you come along. The dry season (May-November) flight will take you over Adelaide River, Mary River National Park, Kakadu’s winding South and East Alligator rivers, coastal mangroves holding back massive floodplains to reveal the Arnhem Land Plateau standing proudly on the Eastern side of Kakadu. The wet season (December-April) flight route will follow this route and will end with views over the mighty Jim Jim and Twin Waterfalls. You'll then get to sit back and relax on a 90-minute cruise through Kakadu's wetlands. The Yellow Water billabong is rich with flora, wildlife and changing landscapes and you'll get to see it all! There will be a lunch break at the Barra Bar and Bistro and the afternoon part of the trip involves a visit to the Warradjan Cultural Centre. Developed by the Aboriginal traditional owners of Kakadu, the displays include personal histories, videos and artifacts that illustrate stories they want to share with you. Browse the gallery gift shop offering traditional didgeridoos, local artwork and much more. You'll then depart Kakadu on a 45-minute ferry flight back to Darwin. This will be an experience that you will remember forever!
